chemical taste...

The chemical taste in the back of my throat saves me from the dark. I am never comforted but sometimes I am complacent. I take solace in my ability to be fickle and spontaneous. I take solace in the fact that no one has ever lived this way before me. Maybe that's untrue and an example of my self-centeredness, but I'd never allow myself to believe otherwise.
